Federal judge orders FEMA unpause federal funds

The federal judge of Rod Island, who targeted the dismissal, made a legal strike on Friday, and ordered her to freeze federal funds.

American boycott judge John McConnell has ordered the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to cancel the freezing of federal funds for the states after the prosecutors claimed that the agency had failed to comply with the previous court order.

The lawsuit was originally launched by 22 states and provinces of Colombia, challenging the Trump administration’s decision to grant financing for programs such as granting climate pollution to reduce the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other environmental initiatives.

Prosecutors, including the New York states, California, Illinois and Roud Island, argued that Fema’s implementation of the manual review of payment requests violated a former preliminary order issued by McConnell. The states have argued that the review “constitutes” a temporary stop or freezing of the appropriate financing by congress. “

The defendants, between President Donald Trump and the Office of Administration and Budget (OMB), stated that the review did not violate the matter because “Fema relies on its independent powers to carry out the operation instead of directing OMB.”

McConnell concluded that the prosecutors had “provided evidence indicating that Fema is carrying out this manual review process, with the secret of the president’s executive order on January 20, 2025.”

McConnell issued a restriction in late January the defendants’ order to freeze federal funds. This came after OMB issued a memorandum on January 27, announcing the administration’s plans to temporarily stop grants and loans. The White House later canceled the memo on January 29.

However, White House press secretary Caroline Levit said this step was not equal to “delivery of federal financing.”

After McConnell ordered the administration to comply with the restriction order, the government appealed to the first circle – which refused to stay on orders.

The articles, which participated for the first time with Fox News Digital, accused McCONEL of misuse of power and conflicts of interests, saying that he was “politicizing and wearing his judicial position intentionally to enhance his political views and beliefs.”
