Federal judge postpones DHS’s attempt to end Temporary Protected Status for Venezuelans

On Monday, the province in the United States in San Francisco, California, granted a request to postpone the Trump administration’s attempt to end the TPS for Venezuelan citizens, which was granted under a program implemented by the Biden Administration.

The Minister of Internal Security (DHS), Christie Naim, announced the procedures three days after the right in its role to strip nearly 350,000 Venezuelan citizens in their protection under the TPS program, allowing them to live and temporarily work in the United States

By stripping the Venezuelan from their situation in TPS, the court said that Noem was exposed to a “possible imminent deportation” to their country, which was classified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as “Level 4: Do not travel” because of “high risks to illegal spread, terrorism, kidnapping, arbitrary enforcement of local laws, crimes, civil unrest, [and] Poor health infrastructure. “

The procedure would reflect the efforts of the Biden administration to expand the interim protection of Venezuelan countries that have been present since 2021.

The American boycott judge, Edward Chen, of the San Francisco Federal Court, granted the postponement of Nayyim’s order on Monday, saying: “The court finds that the Secretary’s action threatens: to harm hundreds of thousands of people who have been disrupted throughout the United States throughout the United States throughout the United States.

Chen also said that the government had failed to determine “any real compensation damage” in the TPS continuous for the Venezuelan beneficiaries.

“The prosecutors have also shown that they will succeed in showing that the measures taken by the Secretary are not authorized under the law, arbitrary and volatile, and their unconstitutional motives,” Chen wrote. “For these reasons, the court grants the plaintiffs to postpone the confrontation procedures pending the final separation of the advantages of this case.”
