Federal judge temporarily halts NYC congestion pricing program amid legal battle

On Tuesday, a federal judge suspended the Trump administration’s temporary efforts to kill the controversial congestion pricing program in New York City.

The American boycott court judge, Luis Lehman, issued a temporary registration order that prevents the administration from getting rid of the program and blocking federal financing if the city fails to obtain the program.

Lehman’s restriction order is prohibited on Tuesday, at least June 9, and Transport Minister Sean Duffy is prohibited from taking revenge on the city.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Transport said in a statement to the digital newspaper Fox News. “The non -commitment enforcement procedures were only under study, and we will comply with the judge’s request to keep it.”

“We look forward to placing our case in court against (New York Cathy Governor) for the illegal fees and we are working to protect the Americans from the working class unlikely to go to work, see their families, or visit the city,” the statement continued.

In February, Trump posted a picture of himself wearing a crown and wrote, “The pricing of crowding was died. Manhattan, all of them from New York, was saved. The king lived!”

The program was launched in January, using electronic licensing panel readers and shipping most drivers at $ 9 during peak periods to enter Manhattan south of Street 60 in an attempt to reduce crowding and collect money to improve mass transportation.

The city said that the program was greatly reduced from crowding on the roads. Officials said there are about 5.8 million cars less than expected in the crowding area between January and March, or a reduction of about 8 % to 13 %.

Brad Lander, New York City Observer, said the program was better for companies, the city’s tourism industry, bus and taxis.
