A federal judge found on Tuesday that the Public Prosecutor of Florida James Othman was in a civil contempt for the court over its ruling to stop the new state law, making it a crime for people who live in the United States illegally to enter the state.
On April 29, American boycott judge Cathlelene Williams ordered that Uthmeier show a reason about “why should he not be considered in contempt or punishment” for violating a temporary restriction (TRO) from the court, although he decided in the end that he was unable to persuade it in another way.
“If retaining contempt is what cost to defend the rule of law and stand firmly behind President Trump’s agenda on illegal immigration, then it would be the case,” Othiar said on Tuesday in a post on X.
Florida Governor Ron Desantis signed a law in February that made her a misdemeanor for illegal immigrants to enter the state as part of President Donald Trump’s push to eliminate illegal immigration.

But on April 4, Williams Tro issued a period of 14 days in response to the law, after a lawsuit filed by the Florida Migrant Alliance and other groups. Then, TRT, after another 11 days of learning that the Florida Road Road Road had arrested more than ten people, including an American citizen.
The court said on April 18 that Florida’s law officers were obligated by TRO, which would prevent them from enforcing the criminal immigration law.
The Court also ordered the Prosecutor to submit a notice to all law enforcement employees, which was initially Othman.

But on April 23, he sent a follow -up letter to informing the law enforcement community that “there is no judicial order … properly prevents you from” enforcement of the immigration law, adding that “there is no legal order and a project that currently hinders your agencies from continuing to implement” the statute.
As a result, the court requested that Uthmeier show a reason for the reason not being held in contempt for TRO’s violation.

After his response, the court saw that the litigants could not change the meaning of words as it suits them, and they spent that Uthmeier was in contempt for the court on April 18 to provide TRO with law enforcement employees regarding the enforcement of the Immigration Law.
In this way, the UTHMEIER court ordered reports every two weeks separated in detail, frustration, or law enforcement procedures when it comes to the Immigration Law, which prohibits immigrants who are not documented, to enter Florida, with the first that was submitted by July 1.

If any arrests are made under the law, Uthmeier has ordered the court to notify the details of the arrests.
