Florida judge rejects Trump DOJ push to release Epstein grand jury transcripts as congressional pressure mounts
American boycott judge, Robin Rosenberg, West Palm Beach, said that the request for the release of the documents of the Grand jury from 2005 and 2007 did not meet any of the exceptional exceptions under Federal law, which could make them public.
Last week, the Ministry of Justice asked the judge to release the records to put out a storm between President Donald Trump’s supporters who believe that there is a conspiracy to protect Epstein’s customers, and to hide videos of crimes committed and other evidence.
In 2008, Epstein concluded a deal with Federal Public Prosecutors in Florida that allowed him to escape more severe federal charges and instead of acknowledging the guilt of the state’s accusations of a person under the age of 18 of prostitution and prostitution.
Deputy Prosecutor Todd Blanche asked the judges in Florida and New York to cancel the texts from the procedures of the major jury, which led to indictment against Epstein and her former friend Ghamsayen Maxwell, saying, “The transparency of the American public has the utmost importance in this administration.”
The major federal jury bodies hear secret evidence and then decide whether there is enough indictment. Experts say that the texts will not likely reveal because public prosecutors are usually trying to provide sufficient materials to obtain fees and not submit the entire investigation.
Epstein, a wealthy financier, was arrested years later in 2019 for federal sex trafficking, while Maxwell was accused of helping to misuse teenage girls.
Epstein was found dead in his cell in a federal prison in New York City, about a month after his arrest. The investigators concluded that he had killed himself. Maxwell was later convicted of trial and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The case attracted attention due to the links of Epstein and Maxwell to famous people, including members of the royal family, presidents and billionaires. This also led to some of the largest conspiracy theories that activate the Trump base.
Anger was neglected on the records by the Ministry of Justice. In February, the right -wing extremist influencers were invited to the White House and they were provided with folders with the “Epstein: Phase 1” and “Steninged” brand. The volumes contained documents that were already in the public domain.
The administration admitted on July 7 that Epstein had no list of customers. I also mentioned that there are no more files related to its case that will be announced.
The memorandum consisting of two pages bearing the slogans of the FBI and the Ministry of Justice, but it was not signed by any individual, said that the administration decided that “the additional disclosure will not be appropriate or justified.”
Meanwhile, a sub -committee for control in the House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to summon the Ministry of Justice for files. The full committee issued a summons of Maxwell for a certificate before the committee officials in August. The senator Adam Chef, extended California, called on the Prosecutor Pam Bondi and the director of the FBI to appear before the Senate Judicial Committee.
