Ford recalls 1.9 million vehicles globally over defective rearview cameras

Ford Motor said on Tuesday that it remembers 1.9 million cars worldwide because of the defective rear vision cameras that may display inverted, distorted or empty images.

The summons-which affects a group of vehicles between the ages of 2015, 2019-Lincoln MKC, Lincoln Navigator, Mustang, F-2550, F-350, F-450, F-550, Edge, Ranger, EXTEXITOT, Econoline and Transit Connect, Ruteers, reported, indicates a deposit of the national highway.

“The anxiety includes a rear vision camera that displays the loss of distorted, intermittent or continuous image,” Ford Motor spokesman told Fox Business in an email. “This condition can reduce the driver’s vision when backup, which increases the risk of infection.”

The summons includes about 1.45 million American cars, in addition to 122,000 cars in Canada and about 300,000 cars in other areas, according to Reuters.

Reuters reported that the auto manufacturer is aware of 18 accidents related to this case, with no injuries, in addition to 44123 calls in the world.

A Fox Business spokesman told Fox Business that the rear camera problem stems from an unauthorized change by one of the sub -tools to the printed circuit board tools, which reduces the peripheral contact power and leads to the threat of corrosion.

“Treatment includes dealers that lose the rear vision camera and replace it with an updated part if necessary, for free,” said Fox Business spokesman. “The new cameras are characterized by a dual -chlorine vinyl vinyl headlined designed to prevent this problem.”

Ford said that the affected owners will be notified of the summons from September 22nd.
