Israel’s continuous military campaign on Iranian nuclear infrastructure can not only put a sign of a military escalation, but a strategic shift, according to retired Major General Amos Yadin.
The former head of the Israeli military intelligence and one of the 1981 architects behind the 1981 strike on Ozirak’s nuclear reactor in Iraq, said that Israel should expand its holidays not only its military goals, but political goals.
“Israel has made a decision that, on the one hand, it is time to end the leadership of the evil axis – the head of the snake,” Yadlin told Fox News Digital. “At the same time, deal with the main problems there. It is nuclear.”
Yadlin did not say how long he believed that the conflict will continue. Although he did not publicly call for the regime’s change, Yadlin suggested that the Israeli Defense Army take out the regime’s “military levels.”
“It is not a one -day process. It seems like a week or two. But when a war begins, even if you start very successfully, you never know when to be completed.”
Iran threatens to hit the bases in the Middle East: What is the level of threat?
“I hope that the achievements of the Israeli Defense Army, which destroyed the Iranian air defense, which led to the insult of the Iranian missile, the ballistic missile capabilities, the curtains of drones, and perhaps even the targets of the regime to the military level that Israel began, will convince the Iranians that the time has come to stop. After that, they will negotiate its administration Trump more.”

While Foreign Minister Marco Rubio initially insisted that he had not participated in the initial strikes on Tehran, president Donald Trump appeared to indicate that he hoped that Israel will pressure Iran the weakest of contentment at the negotiating table.
The two sides are on top of the records that the United States insists that Iran cannot have any ability to enrich uranium and Iran’s insistence that it must have uranium for a civil nuclear program.
“The military operation aims, in my opinion, to a political end, and the political party is an agreement with Iran that would prevent the possibility of going to the border.”
“We need a stronger agreement,” he said, “We need a stronger agreement,”
Inside Israel’s secret war in Iran: Moussad Kumandoz, hidden drones and blow that stunned Tehran
Odlin, who flew in 1981 of the F-16S who destroyed the nuclear facility of Iraq in one night operation, explained that the last Israel campaign was more complicated.
“This is not in 1981,” he said. “Iran has learned. Its facilities are dispersed, buried in the mountains and protected by advanced air defenses. It is not one night operation.”
He added: “There are sites that are not sure that they can be destroyed.”
He said that the last attack was the result of years of the intelligence gathering – and the brave agents of Moussad on the ground in Iran. Israel attracted senior Iranian leaders in a hideout, where they coordinated a response to the Israeli attacks, and then blew the hideout.
“All the intelligence that Israel gathered, since I was the head of intelligence from 2005 to 2010, enabled this process against the Iranian nuclear program to be very effective, such as good intelligence that enabled Israel to destroy Hezbollah. Unfortunately, the agencies of intelligence have lost the same seventh of October 2023.”

In fact, the pre -preventive strikes of Israel – Opera operation in 1981 and the 2007 air strike on the suspect reactor – was fast, surgical and designed to neutralize an individual goal. On the other hand, Yadlin suggested that the current campaign could include wider goals.
“It is not a one -day process. It seems like a week or two. But when a war begins, even if you start very successfully, you never know when to be completed.”
The operation is framing by Israeli defense officials as a continuation of the beginning of the beginning, which was established after the 1981 Userink strike, which announced that Israel would never allow a hostile system in the region to obtain weapons from mass destruction.

Smoke rises after an explosion in Tehran, Iran, on Friday, June 13, 2025, the first wave of Israeli attacks to produce the nuclear program.
Yadlin itself is a symbol of that doctrine. As one of the eight pilots who flew to Iraq for more than four decades, he helped define Israel’s policy of enjoying – a legacy that is now tested again under radically different circumstances.
