The Real-Life Inspiration Behind Countless Horror Movies Is Heading To Netflix

Ryan Murphy and Neviklex cooperate with a story of one of the most notorious series of series in all ages, Ed Jin. This name may seem familiar to the death of true crime. It is not a large size, for example, Ted Bundy, but “Monster: The Ed Gein Story” seeks to tell the story of this very influential person. GEIN’s crimes continued for a real life to inspire some of the greatest horror cinema ever, which is greatly inclined.

Charlie Honnam (“Sons of Chaos”) plays the role of Ed Jeen in this last edition of the “Monster” series. The new propaganda section, which you can check above, offers a look at it at work. Many pictures may look familiar, including the skin used as a reflector in light and the crawling way that Jin invites to his mother. This is because GEIN was used as a source of inspiration for characters in “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho”, as well as “Silence of Lambet” Jonathan Demi.

For those who are not familiar with Ed Jain, he confessed to killing two of the killing that occurred in the 1950s, and admitted the responsibility of killing lawyers Mary Hogan in 1954 and the owner of the Pernis Warden hardware store in 1957. He suspected many others, but was convicted of killing Hogan. This, however, is just a tip of the iceberg. GEIN was also a grave thief who used the human body parts to supply his home, including using skulls as cooking. Ian Brennan, the creator of the series, explained, speaking to Tidom, the reason for challenging Jin’s story:

“Ed Jin is somewhat mysterious. This man who lived on a farm and did not know many people, and you are watching his deep deep madness and then eventually to kill people. This looked like a great request for a show that was very popular. Is this very much asking a global audience?”

In realizing that horror classics such as “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” were inspired by GEIN that gave Brennan and Murphy a way to tell the story. “There is something about this story that has been repeated in the ages,” Brennan said. “This is when clicking.”

In the trailer, until we hear the voice of Hitchcock, presented by actor Tom Holland. “What shocks you more?” Hitchcock asks as a Gein police house. “How was his childhood?” The director urges. For anyone who saw “Psycho”, it is not absolutely difficult to see how Gein affected those classic artistic, based on the footage of this trailer alone. There is a direct line from Ed Jin to Norman Bings.

Also, it is not difficult to see the effects between GEIN and Buffalo Bill in the “Silence of the Lambs”. Boufalo Bell, the murderer Gary Haydnik, was also inspired by Jin. These are just the most popular examples. Jin’s crimes continued to influence this type of terror, directly and indirectly, in countless ways. As Murphy explained to Tudum, GEIN sees a great influencing character behind these few feature films:
