Games industry projected to go up to $186B in 2026 | Konvoy

This week, Konvoy released a gaming industry report for the first quarter of 2025, as it revealed more information about the trends in the industry, including investment capital deals, integration and acquisitions worldwide. According to the report, Konvoy expects the value of the game industry to be $ 186 billion in 2026, an increase of 4.7 % on an annual basis. It also shows information about the main deals in this industry, as well as the effects of the escalating separation between the United States and China.
The company stated that the game industry witnessed 43 of the merger and acquisitions in the first quarter, as the acquisition of Scopely was worth $ 3.5 billion for the Niantic games section, and the Modern Times Group’s acquisition of $ 620 million. It also indicates that there are 77 VC deals in this quarter – which were 6 % from the previous quarter. However, the total amount of VC financing was $ 373 million, which is more than 35 % quarter of a quarter.
