Washington AG joins coalition suing to block Trump’s order to dismantle Department of Education

The Prosecutor of Washington State joined 20 other democratic states in a lawsuit seeking to prevent President Donald Trump’s executive order, which calls for the dismantling of the Ministry of Education.

The state prosecutor Nick Brown announced on Monday that he joined 20 other lawyers in submitting a request to issue a preliminary judicial order against the Trump administration. A preliminary judicial order would temporarily stop the presidential executive order on March 20 to eliminate the Ministry of Energy.

The other twenty states filed lawsuits on March 13 in an attempt to prevent efforts to close the Ministry of Energy after announcing plans to eliminate half of the administration’s workforce.

The recent lawsuit seeks to stop the demobilization of workers and move by the administration to transfer student loans and private education services outside the department, as Trump is working to transfer responsibilities away from the Ministry of Energy.

For example, Trump announced last week that the small business administration will deal with student loans as part of this plan.

“The devastating cuts and the demobilization of workers in the Ministry of Education will directly harm the youth of Washington and their families,” Brown said in a statement. “Our office will fight for the education and health of our students from President Trump’s illegal order.”

The demobilization of workers in the department has already led to the closure of the Civil Rights Awareness Services Office across the country, which has achieved the demands of students to discriminate and assault. The Brown Office said that federal financing and its approval of government schools had been late.

The lawsuit argues that the executive order of the Trump administration is illegal and that the efforts made to dismantle the Ministry of Energy can only be permissible by congress. The Republican Party lawmakers submitted legislation to cancel the administration, but the effort has not yet been approved by any of the room at Capitol Hill.

The lawsuit from public lawyers also claims that collective workers ’demobilization operations violate the Administrative Procedures law, which determines procedures for how the administrative agencies of the federal government are proposing and issuing them.
