Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff says Trump’s ‘chaos and uncertainty’ leading to economic challenges

Senator John Osov, d.

OSSOFF, is preparing to run for his re -election in 2026, and perhaps against the famous Republican Governor in Georgia Brian Keteb, who has not yet announced if he will join the race. OSSOFF is the only democratic that seeks to re -election and which represents a country that Trump won last year, making it a great goal for the Republicans who hope to preserve the majority of the Senate.

“I am more than ready for any competitor,” Osov, 38, told Associated Press on Saturday with the refusal to comment on any potential opponents.

Osov defeated the current Republican Republican Republican David Berdo on a superficial tour in 2021, helping the Democrats control the Senate and stick to the majority of the room for four years during the Biden administration.

During his first four years, Osov tried to demonstrate a reputation as Castulaur works to promote the traditional interests of Georgia, including farmers and military bases. He says he will try to work with Republicans to connect Georgia.

Senator, who recently intensified his criticism of Trump, warned on Saturday that companies and families in Georgia are fighting to plan for the future due to the ongoing changes in the commercial and economic moves of the federal government.

“Companies are unable to invest while understanding what will be the rules of international trade from one hour, week or month to another,” Osov told Associated Press. “Families are unable to plan their annual budgets because there is a lot of chaos and uncertainty in implementing federal economic policy.”

“This administration needs to determine its economic goals clearly, and it needs to implement its plan efficiently, whatever this plan,” continued. “The fact that the White House does not even know what its policy is, and it is with this the inability to predict and chaos, which starts from one policy to another, the state’s economy is in a dangerous economic danger.”

OSSOFF also expressed his concerns about the Trump and “non -American” executive measure since his return to the White House in January, pointing to the president’s attempts to continue his political opponents.

“We have not seen a president trying to exercise the federal government to crush his critics and political opponents,” Osov said. “This is a new thing in American history, which, in my opinion, is non -American. It is something that should calm us into the bone, regardless of our policy, regardless of our political preferences.”

The Republican legislator urged remembering that Democrat will be president in the end again and that “the shoe will be on the other foot.”

“This is about checks and balances,” he said. “This relates to whether or not the executive branch is based on what our constitution was designed, by wise legislators who can put their plates aside to protect the public interest.”

Osov explained that although Democrats have a limited power without controlling the White House or either the congress room, a large part of its function at the present time is to inform the people of Georgia that Trump’s policies are not in the interest of the state.

In addition to his criticism of Trump, OSSOFF cited palaces during the Biden administration, especially when it comes to border security. He was one of 12 democratic people voted for the Laken Riley law, which was named after a nursing student in Georgia, killed by Venezuelan immigrant Jose Antonio Ebra.

The law requires illegal immigrants accused – even without condemnation – theft or violent crimes held by the Ministry of Internal Security.

“My view is that the American people expect and deserve safe borders,” Osov said. “I believe that the Biden administration has failed in its border policies. The American people expect and deserve it for people who enter this country illegally and may pose a threat to public safety or national security that is being arrested by the authorities.”

“But the American people do not support and do not expect federal police raids on primary schools, hospitals and churches,” he said, referring to the procedures for enforcing the controversial immigration of the Trump administration. “and [the American people] Our military facilities do not expect to become collective prisoners camps for immigrants and do not want to link entire families without any legal procedures. We have just learned yesterday about a two-year-old American citizen-a two-year-old girl-who were deported without due legal procedures. Our immigration policy should be responsible and dangerous. It should also be human. “
