Georgia Supreme Court upholds Fani Willis disqualification from Trump Georgia election case

Volton Vanie Willis’s lawyer has been constantly marginalized from the trial of the election interference in President Donald Trump, Georgia, after it lost an appeal at the highest court court.
In December, the Georgia Appeals Court ruled that Willis and its office could not continue to prosecute the case, noting that a “non -contrary” appearance “caused by her romantic relationship with Special Public Prosecutor Nathan Wadi.
Willis appealed the Supreme Court of Georgia in January, but on Tuesday the Supreme Court rejected a 4-3 resolution to take over the case. No one participated and another was excluded.

Trump’s lawyer, Steve Sado, welcomed the Georgia case, the decision.
“Willis’s misconduct during the investigation and President Trump was terrible and did not deserve anything less than lack of eligibility,” Sado said in a statement. “This correct decision should put an end to the unlawful political persecution of the president.”
Jeff Clark, a former official in the Ministry of Justice, who is one of 19 accused, was charged under the law of the affected organizations and corrupt in the state.
“Praise the Lord for progress in this case. He should not be brought in the first place,” he said.
Willis said that she does not agree to the decision, but she will make the case and evidence file to the prosecutor’s council for use in litigation.
“While I do not agree with the decision of the Court of Appeal in Georgia and the decision of the Supreme Court in Georgia not to review it, I respect the legal process and the courts.”

The CEO of the Council, House of Skmsandalakis, said on Tuesday that he would start searching for a new public prosecutor to replace Willis, but he did not know the time it might take. He said that once a new public prosecutor was appointed, it will be “left to him or what to do with the case.”
This person can continue on the path that Willis has taken, follow up on some charges, or completely reject the case. Finding a public prosecutor may be ready to deal with him, due to his complexity and the required resources.
Even if the new public prosecutor tries to follow the Willis path, it seems that Trump is unlikely to be tried now after the president has become sitting. But 14 other defendants still face charges.
Willis Trump’s indictment was accused of pressuring officials of canceling the vote in 2020 in Georgia, organizing “fake voters” and harassing election workers.
The Great Jury of Volton Province and 18 others in August 2023 were directed, and Trump surrendered in Volton Province prison on August 24. And that is when the famous Moghouti was now taken-the first of the American president at all.

During the Georgia caseand It appeared that Willis was in a romantic relationship with Wadi, the public prosecutor who rented him to help lead the case.
The couple finally acknowledged the relationship, but he argued that he had no effect on the claim. Wadi was later resigned, but the controversy continued and the Court of Appeal issued Willis and its entire office should not be qualified due to the appearance of violations.
“We hope this chapter will finally close,” said Ashley Merchant, who revealed Willis’s romantic relationship with Well as a defense lawyer for Trump defender Michael Roman.
