Gov. Wes Moore vetoes Maryland reparations commission bill, calls for direct action

The only black ruler in the country has achieved the ruler of compensation, as he deals with his colleagues and emphasizes his preference “focusing on work itself” instead of forming commissions.

The governor of Maryland Wes More Vito 587, legislation sponsored by Senator C.

The committee could have been assigned to submit recommendations by 2027 “regarding the appropriate benefits that will be made to African Americans who are affected by slavery and historical equality.”

However, Moore has not issued the veto in any kind of opposition to the general idea.

Dem Gov says, with a deficit of $ 3 billion, he was doing Doge “before anyone knew it was.”

“I commend the work of the Legislative Council for this draft law, and I thank the black gathering for their leadership,” Moore said in his message.

“We have moved in partnership with leaders throughout the state to raise black families and address racist variations in our societies. This is the context in which I made this difficult decision.”

Moore assumed a problem with the possibility of more bureaucracy that the decision bears.

“[N]He said, “It is not the time for another study,” referring to the last committees that were created, including the Truth Committee in Maryland, which disrupts the truth and reconciliation.

“It is time to continue the work that provides results for the people we serve.”

Moore is seen, and the democratic presidency in 2028 is always seen, he will always defend the history of African Americans in Maryland and focuses on narrowing the “racist wealth gap”, increasing the ownership of minorities and “closing the founding discrepancy”.

Maryland itself has a mixed history when it comes to slavery, civil war and the treatment of African Americans.

The state hosts Harriet Tobman the underground railway, linking important cities and sites on the eastern beach and to Dilayer, where Tobman, her families aligned, helped slaves fleeing on their way to the relative safety of the north.

Its position, as a country, is often friendly to the south, north of Washington, DC, as well as the complexity of its position during the civil war. John Wilkes Booth, the actor who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln, witnessed from Bill Air, and his escape from Washington after the assassination led him through a friendly Confederation South Maryland before Botomac crossed Virginia.

Dr. Samuel Mood, the doctor who incited Bath and his colleagues after the killing of Lincoln, puts them in his property near Leonartown.

However, Bath felt uncomfortable enough, in the state of Maryland after the war that he fled to Virginia – where he was eventually surrounded by US guards in a fold that is now unlimited in the center of the United States 301 Parkway via Fort App Hill.

The legislative communities in Maryland also issued a statement on Friday, expressing their disappointment with the veto in Moore.

“While the White House and congress target the activity of black societies, the dismantling of diversity initiatives, the use of a harmful encoding language, the ruler Moore had an opportunity to show the country and the world here in Maryland with the boldness and courage of our painful history and the urgent need to address it.”

“Instead, the first black ruler in the state chose to prevent this historic legislation, which would have moved the state towards reforming the damage of enslavement directly.”
