Grok is unpromptedly telling X users about South African ‘white genocide’

It seems that Elon Musk from AI chatbot Grok is suffering from a Wednesday’s error that caused dozens of posts on X with information about “white genocide” in South Africa, even when the user did not ask anything about the topic.
The strange responses from the X GROK account stem, which responds to the users created by AI whenever the user signs @Grok. When asked about the relevant topics, Grok told the users repeatedly about the “white genocide”, as well as the anti -Franodes “killing”.
The non -relevant strange responses are a reminder that AI Chatbots is still an emerging technique, and it may not always be a reliable source of information. In recent months, models of artificial intelligence have struggled to adjust their Chatbots responses, which led to strange behaviors.
Openai was recently forced to decline an update to ChatGPT that caused Chatbot to be excessively sycophanty. Meanwhile, Google has faced problems with the rejection of Chatbot Gemini answer, or to give wrong information, on political issues.
In one examples of Grok’s misconduct, one of Grok users asked about the salary of a professional baseball player, Grok responded that the “white genocide” demand in South Africa is being discussed.
Many users posted on X about their confusing and strange reactions with Grok Ai Chatbot on Wednesday.
It is not clear at this time what is the cause of the strange Grok answers, but the Chatbots of Xai has been manipulated in the past.
In February, Grok 3 seemed to be briefly controlled on the signals not available to Elon Musk and Donald Trump. At that time, it seemed that the Xai Engineering Igor Babuschkin’s leadership confirmed that GROK was directed to it for a short period, although the company reflected the speed of education after it caught the reverse reaction more attention.
Whatever the cause of the error, Grok seems to be naturally responding to users now. A Xai spokesman did not immediately respond to the Techcrunch request for comment.
