Here’s a closer look at Trump’s tariff plan: What to know about the new duties

President Donald Trump has made plans to impose a set of new customs tariffs on imports to the United States on Wednesday – the day he described his administration as a “liberation day” and pledged to restore the American dream.

Trump unveiled the new definitions at a ceremony in the White House Roses Park to attend the “Make America Wealthy” event again, as he announced that these new duties will enter a wave of jobs for American workers.

“For countries that have dealt us badly, we will count the joint rate of all definitions, non -cash barriers and other forms of fraud,” Trump said on Wednesday.

He said, “Because we are dealing with us, we will bear them nearly half of what they are while we are shipping.” “Therefore, the definitions will not be completely mutual. I could have done it. Yes. But it was difficult for many countries.”

The Trump administration previously imposed a 25 % tariff on imported cars, up to 25 % on certain goods from Mexico and Canada, as well as a 20 % tariff on shipments from China. The White House said that the definitions that were already imposed on Canada and Mexico remain unchanged. However, the new customs duties will be associated with China with the duties based on Beijing.

The Trump administration has provided a plan of customs tariffs that other countries’ accusations of American imports, indicating that the customs tariff imposed by the United States was almost not strict as it could have been in order to reach reciprocity.

For example, the graph says that Japan imposed a 46 % tariff on American goods, while the United States is implementing a tariff of only 24 % on the Japanese goods imported to the United States

Why does Trump want the definitions

Trump has long managed and managed to rush against commercial practices of other countries and accused them of participating in unfair commercial practices against the United States – and they argued that the customs tariff would help in returning manufacturing functions to the United States as a result, he called and his administration to employ a customs tariff to address the trade bidder worth $ 1.2 trillion.

“For decades, our country was looted, looted, raped and looted by near and far nations, both friend and enemy alike,” Trump said on Wednesday.

Definitions as a tax that governments collect on foreign goods and services imported by manufacturers. It is collected while undergoing customs permit in foreign ports, according to the International Trade Department.

Definitions are expected to affect a group of goods, starting with electronics, such as the IPHONE devices that are often manufactured in China, according to the Foreign Relations Council, to wine and other alcoholic drinks that arise from European Union countries, such as Italy.

The new Trump tariff prompted a violent reaction from the members of both parties in congress, who warned that the definitions would raise the prices of American consumers.

Specifically, the Senate moved to approve a resolution of a margin 51-48 on Wednesday after Trump’s announcement, which would cancel the emergency advertisement regarding trafficking in the fentanel that Trump used to justify the duties in Canada. Four Republicans joined a vote with Democrats to support decision -making, although it has low possibilities to pass through the Republican House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, other countries spoke against definitions, including allies such as Canada and Australia.

Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary Scott Beesint warned other countries of revenge in response to the new definitions, warning that the United States will not hesitate to take action again.

“My advice for every country is now: don’t divide,” Pesin said in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday. “If you are missing, there will be an escalation.”
