Hockey fans react to new directive to teams over rosters for Italy Olympics

Hockey fans’ reaction to the NHL policy of the report of the announcement of the team’s lists of the Olympics in June and December. TSN Pierre Lebrun analyst published an update on the problem on X (Twitter previously) on Tuesday.

NHL fans were not happy with the news. The 2026 Winter Olympic Games are scheduled to be held from 6-22 February. With ads in advance, fans are concerned about the omissions and injuries of the players.

A similar position occurred during the confrontation of 4 countries recently concluded, and the fans rushed to indicate this.

NHL players to participate in the Olympic Games after the absence for ten years

In the wake of huge popularity to face 4 countries, NHL players are expected to be shown in the best tournaments in the coming years, with the Olympics in 2026 and 2030 and the 2028 World Cup for hockey already in the calendar.

Speaking at a press conference in February 2024, the NHL Commissioner Gary Beatman discussed the reason and how the confrontation of the four nations was expanded.

“We wanted to do something, but we felt that we were unable to prepare within a year of the full World Cup,” Bitman said on NHL. “This makes us start and put us in a schedule I think everyone is not only enthusiastic about it, but really comfortable.”

NHL players have not participated in the international championship since the 2016 World Cup in 2016.
