House of Representatives approves ‘big, beautiful bill’ in victory for Donald Trump

Donald Trump obtained the approval of the leading tax and spending legislation after the House of Representatives approved the draft law, as the US President handed over a political victory six months after his second term.

The vote came from 218 to 214 of the House of Representatives on Thursday after the leader of the democratic minority, Hakim Jeffrez, spoke against what he called the “ugly” legislation for eight hours and 44 minutes, in a symbolic challenge.
