UK prime minister to admit ‘globalisation is over’ in response to Trump tariffs

UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer will announce on Sunday that he understands the logical basis behind president Donald Trump’s tariff and that the West is entering a new economic era.
“The world has changed, globalization has ended and we are now in a new era,” the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement to the Sunday Times. “We have to prove that our approach, a more active workers’ government, a more reformist government, can provide answers to people in every part of this country.”
This statement comes after Trump announced a new tariff for dozens of countries worldwide on Wednesday, including a 10 % tax on goods from the United Kingdom

Although Starmer will continue to argue that customs tariffs are wrong, according to the Sunday Times report, the Prime Minister will also admit that he understands the logical basis behind Trump’s move and why these policies have become increasingly popular with voters.
“Trump has done something that we do not agree with, but there is a reason behind the people behind it,” the Prime Minister’s office said in the statement.
The report said that Starmer is expected to emphasize free trade and collective migration specifically during the title on Sunday, on the pretext that it failed millions of voters.

Musk says he hopes to “Safaria”, the freedom of trade area between us and Europe
Meanwhile, the report indicated that Trump’s ally, Elon Musk, apparently erupted with the president during a video interview in Italy on Saturday, saying that he eventually hoped to solve a “zero solution” between the United States and Europe.
He said: “At the end of the day, I hope that it will be agreed that both Europe and the United States will move ideally, in my opinion, to a zero position, which creates effectively a free trade zone between Europe and North America.”
Musk also called for ultimately to “freedom” of movement between the two continents, a clear break from the Trump steel line on immigration.

Musk said: “This is what I hope will happen, and also people’s freedom to move between Europe and North America if they wish,” Mousse said. “If they want to work in Europe or want to work in America, they should be allowed to do so, in my opinion. So my advice was for sure.”
The White House did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital request for comment.
