Trump lays out asks of Syria in exchange for sanctions relief

President Donald Trump asked Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara to completely normalize relations with Israel in exchange for relief for sanctions.

In reading a pivotal Wednesday meeting of Syria, Trump Shara encouraged the signing of Ibrahim’s agreements with Israel, and asked all foreign terrorists to leave Syria, deport “Palestinian terrorists”, and help the United States prevent ISIS’s return and take charge of participating in ISIS in the northeast of Syria.

About 10,000 ISIS fighters are being imprisoned in the region, where the US -backed Kurdish militia known as the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) is accused of keeping it closed.

Al -Sharra and his group known as Haya Tarir al -Sham led the overthrow of Bashar al -Assad last year. His group was established as al -Qaeda branches, before separating from the terrorist group in 2016.

This advanced announcement came as Trump travels to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, which was widely expected that government leaders would pressure Trump to issue sanctions to help the Syrian economy.

“There is a new government that we hope will succeed,” Trump said of Syria. “I say good luck, Syria. I showed us something special.”

Trump said that both Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and Turkish President Recep Erdogan encouraged him to lift the sanctions.
