‘I knew it was going to hit the back of the net’, says England heroine Kelly as Wiegman revels in chaotic triumph

Chloe Kelly was sure of a decisive penalty kick in her victory in England over Spain in the Euro 2025 final to reach the back of the net.

The top scorer against Germany in the victory of England 2022 in Wembley, and Kelly was once again the heroine of England where she launched her house from 12 yards as the colostrum kept her unlimited title.

The Sarina Wiegman team became the first team in England to win unlikely major championships when Mario Calinetti went to Spain in the 25th minute.

But Kelly, who came in favor of Lauren James, the injured in the fortieth minute, produced a moment of magic in the 57th minute when she found her left cross, president of Alicia Rousseau, who recovered parity and eventually led to an additional time.

“I am very proud of this team. Very grateful to wear this emblem. Very proud to be the English language,” Kelly told BBC One.

“I was cold, I was an author. I knew that I would strike the back of the network. I don’t miss the sanctions twice.

“Do not believe. All the employees behind us, our Sarina and Jamman – I did it again! Don’t believe.”

Wiegman now won three consecutive European titles, after leading the Netherlands to the title at home in 2017.

Their victory over Spain represents the third consecutive match in which England came from behind to the prevailing, as Assad recovered from 2-0 to the bottom to beat Sweden over the quarter-finals before producing a shift against Italy.

“We said that we can win any means and this is what we have shown again today,” Wajman told BBC One. “I am very proud of the team and the employees. It is incredible.

“I can’t believe it. I have a medal around my neck and we have a cup.

“It was the most chaotic tournament on the field – all the challenges we faced on the field against our opponent.”

“From the first match, the chaos was,” and Yamman added that England began with a defeat on France.

“Loss of your first match and European champions become incredible. football is chaos.”
