Hugging Face releases a free Operator-like agentic AI tool

A team at Huging Face “Agent”, which is freely available and hosted of the artificial intelligence that the computer uses. “But be careful: it’s very slow and sometimes mistaken.
Huging Face, called Open Computer Agent, can be accessed by the web and can use the Linux Virtual Machine with many applications, including Firefox. Like Openai, you can ask the open computer agent to complete the task – for example, “Use Google Maps to find HQ Face HQ in Paris” – and sit when the agent opens the necessary programs and dancing on the required steps.
The opening of a computer agent can handle simple requests well enough. But the most complicated, such as searching for flights, stumbled on the techcrunch test. The open computer agent is often operated in the unable to solve Captcha tests.
You will also have to wait on a virtual waiting list to use the open computer agent – in a minutes for minutes, depending on the request.
Of course, the goal of the Huging Face team was not to build a computer user agent in the latest model. Instead, they wanted to prove that the open artificial intelligence models have become more capable – and cheaper for operation on cloud infrastructure.
“When vision models become more capable, they are able to run the complex workflow of the agent,” wrote Emerick Rutcher, a member of the Hugging Face team, in a post on X. ”[Some of these models] Support for integrated grounding, i.e. [the] The ability to locate any element in a picture through its coordinates, [and] thus [can] Click any element [in a virtual machine]”
Although it is far from perfection, the mother’s technology attracts increased investment as institutions are looking to adopt to increase productivity. According to a recent KPMG survey, 65 % of companies try artificial intelligence agents. Market and market projects will grow the AI sector of 7.84 billion dollars in 2025 to 52.62 billion dollars by 2030.
