ILT20 Season 4 dates announced; T20 World Cup forces December 2 start

UAE cricket Council (ECB) announced on Wednesday (May 14) the fourth edition dates of ILT20. The tournament will be played before its traditional window from January to February, and is scheduled to be held in December.

The 2025 edition is scheduled to start on December 2, known as the National Day (EID-AL-EIHAD). The final of the tournament will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026. The league will be played early due to the ICC Men’s World Cup, which is scheduled to play in February to March 2026.

ILT20 will witness six teams playing 34 games

ILT20 has been from the newborn over the past few years. The three seasons witnessed a charming brand of cricket with many great international players who made their presence feel in the league. Also, what was impressive is the support that people have shown towards it.

Like last season, the tournament will witness six teams. A total of 34 games will be played. president ILT20 and Vice Chairman of Crick Khaled Al Zarouni spoke about the fourth season, saying that it will be a great honor for them to join the National Day celebrations in the United Arab Emirates 2025 with the launch of ILT20. He said in an official statement, he said:

We are pleased to confirm that the Fourth International DP International DP League will start on the Emirati National Day-EID-AELAHAD- It is one of the most important days in the UAE calendar.

“The National Day of the United Arab Emirates is the day when we celebrate the United Arab Emirates, which includes a home for people from all over the world, including millions of cheerful cricket fans. It is a real honor for us to join the nation at the National Day celebrations of 2025 in the Emirates with the launch of the largest T20 league in the region – the DP World ILT20 season, on the same day.”

David White, CEO of ILT20, explained the reason they decided to host the tournament in December. He said that this window will provide the teams the best opportunity to reach a larger group of players. He also talked about last season, saying that they are focusing on a major impact in the fourth season.

“After extensive discussions with all our stakeholders, we believe that the December 2, 2025 championship window to January 4, 2026 is perfect for the International DP International T20. The window will provide the best opportunity to reach a larger set of players.

“The third season has achieved great success with the distinguished broadcasting and digital numbers, as the fans enjoyed increasing the quality of the cricket.
