Data that indicates that the federal workforce decreased by only 1 % during the first few months of President Donald Trump’s second state, showing “disappointing effect of Luju” and the level of bureaucracy consolidation in America, experts in Fox News Digit said.

The figures issued by the OPM Office (OPM) shows that the United States employs 2,289,472 federal workers as of March 31, which decreased from 2313,216 on September 30, 2024. It reflects the reduction of more than 23,000 jobs “early management efforts to simplify the inappropriate government.

“This is only until the end of March. So I think these numbers will be higher by the end of September this year, which is when a lot of early retirement packages – and acquisitions – are valid.

He added: “Regardless of these numbers, this is not enough to finish people. It is not enough to contradict the federal workforce. It is a disappointing effect of Dawid that he was not able to increase the volume of the decrease in the federal workforce.”

Trump signed an executive order in February, directing the Ministry of Government efficiency (DOGE) to coordinate with federal agencies and implement huge discounts in the numbers of employment in the federal government.

OPM said this arrangement is reflected in the new data, which indicates that the agencies have a average of 23,000 new monthly employees from April 2024 to January 2025, but it decreased by approximately 70 % to 7385 per month once the freezing freezing is carried out completely.

“Basically, Elon Musk poured some of the ocean ice water to combat its increasing temperature,” Peter Morris, an economist and business professor at Maryland University, told Fox News Digital.

“It is extremely difficult to get rid of people unless you get rid of jobs,” Morisi said.

“It takes more than four years.” “Look at the problems they face only with medical care reform, and how all special interests come out. Over the years, the federal bureaucracy is not only in Washington, but has been published throughout the country.”

“While you are talking about cutting it, you are talking about influencing local economies, the interests of members of congress, etc.”

David Heppert, an economist at the American Institute for Economic Research, said the discount that OPM was “definitely” a beginning.

He added in a statement to the digital newspaper Fox News: “The real challenge facing President Trump is the fact that the federal government has taken itself a lot of responsibilities,” he added in a statement to the digital newspaper Fox News. “If the president and the Congress are serious in simplifying the government, they must exceed” waste, fraud and abuse “and aspire to get rid of the responsibilities that the federal government should not bear in the first place.”

OPM said that “hundreds of thousands of other workers” will decrease the lists in October 2025, when he leaves more workers through the deferred resignation program that was presented to employees in an attempt to reduce the workforce.

There are still tens of thousands of employees who ended them on government salary statements because of the court orders currently being defined by the administration, according to OPM.

“The American people deserve a meager and effective government and focus on basic priorities,” Charles Isle, OPM, said in a statement.

“This data represents the first measurable step towards President Trump’s vision of federal powers responsible for discipline, and it is only the beginning.”
