Inside Yulu’s role in fuelling India’s festive quick commerce frenzy

While India’s festive season drives demand for express commerce platforms to a record high, the electric blue fleet is quietly powering the country’s fastest-growing logistics network. Transport startup Yulu, with its technology-enabled electric two-wheelers, has become a key enabler of the festive delivery boom – helping millions of orders reach the doorstep quickly, sustainably and on time.

Express commerce giants such as Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart have reported unprecedented order volumes this season, often doubling over weekends. Behind the scenes, Yulu’s expanding electric fleet ensures speed and reliability, even amid traffic congestion and increased demand.

“The surge in online sales this holiday season, especially on quick commerce platforms, shows how the instant economy is changing consumer behavior,” said Amit Gupta, CEO and co-founder of Yulu. “Seller brands are increasingly prioritizing reliable, technology-driven logistics partners to ensure seamless fulfillment. As a partner to all leading brands, Yulu has expanded its operational bandwidth to support growing demand and help our customers deliver goods on time, efficiently and with confidence,” he added.

Data from September 2025 reflects the scale of Yulu’s operations: more than 45,000 electric vehicles on the road, 315 million green deliveries made, and 3.8 thousand delivery partners empowered with sustainable mobility solutions. Meanwhile, nearly 32,000 express commerce riders used Yulu Dex EVs in September alone, facilitating 14.3 million deliveries across six cities – a record for the company.

To manage the festive surge, Yulu has beefed up its battery swap network through its energy subsidiary Yuma Energy, which has completed more than 36.7 million battery swaps to date. This robust infrastructure ensures passengers have a non-stop experience during peak hours, keeping deliveries smooth and efficient.

On the environmental front, Yulu’s electric fleet has prevented over 46 million kg of CO2 emissions, cementing its position as one of the largest green logistics enablers in India. The company’s growing presence in urban mobility demonstrates how sustainability and speed can coexist in India’s booming delivery economy.

For Yolo, this festive season is not just about meeting demand, it is about redefining how goods are moved in India. As Gupta puts it, Yolo’s mission is to make the country’s delivery ecosystem “faster, greener and more inclusive.”
