Japan cricket Association is scheduled to host the opening edition of the Sano International Women’s Cup from June 3 to 8. A total of 12 T20i will play at Sano International Cricket in Sano. The tournament replaces East Asian Women’s Cup, which played from 2021 to 2024.

Five teams – Japan, Hong Kong Cena, China, Mongolia and the Philippines will participate in the competition. All teams will play four league matches. The first two teams will lock the centuries in the final, while the third and fourth Furqan of fourth will play the third/fourth place match on June 8.

It is worth noting that the women’s team in Japan last played in the East Asian Cup for women in October 2024. They played well to secure three wins in four league matches, but they finally finished the runner -up, and lost to Hong Kong women.

Hong Kong-China’s women last time in the World Cup qualifiers in Asia T20 in May, where they won a solitary victory and ended three of any result.

She witnessed the last championship of the China Women’s team participating in the T20 Quartet Ladies series in December last year. They ranked fourth in the championship, with losses in all four matches.

On the other hand, the Filipinn Women’s team participated in the Cartini Cup 2025, and lost both their match. The Mongolian team played the last time in the T20i Ladies series (in China), where they lost all three matches.
