Iowa superintendent Ian Roberts arrested by ICE for alleged illegal status

In a statement on Friday, Norris Roberts supported that officials “do not have all the facts.”

“There is a lot that we do not know,” Norris said. “However, what we know is that Dr. Roberts has been an integral part of our school community since joining more than two years ago.”

“During his time with our region, he appeared in large and small ways and called for students and employees, and began to provide concepts that will help us re -perceive education for future generations,” she continued.

Norris said that Roberts joined the educational zone in July 2023 after serving in various educational regions throughout the United States for more than 20 years. “Norris was not the head of the school’s board of directors at the time that Roberts started, but she was a member since 2021.

Meanwhile, Republicans in the legislative body in Iowa call for a broader achievement to ensure appropriate employment practices throughout the state. The Iowa State Control Committee also sent a letter to the DMPS, which it sent to keep the documents related to Roberts’s employment.

“I will not hesitate to provide and revise legislation to clarify improved recruitment protocols, increase transparency in boycott operations, and protect resources allocated to our schools through the credits process,” said Austin Harris, a member of the state, said. “Iowa’s families do not deserve anything less than a safe, legal and effective educational system for their children.”

ICE claims that Roberts is illegally present in the country from Guyana. They say he is lawless to work in the United States and had a final order to remove a judge issued in May 2024.

Roberts was arrested after he was claimed that he was out of law. She later abandoned his car in the woods, and ended up in the Iowa State Patrol, to find him, according to a press statement.

Sam Olson, director of the ICE ERO ST. office said.

“This must be an invitation to wake up our societies for the great work that our officers do every day to remove public safety threats,” Olson continued. “How this illegal foreigner was appointed without permission from work, the final arrangement of removal and the charge of previous weapons is beyond understanding and should not be the fathers of that educational area.”
