iPhone customers upset by Apple Wallet ad pushing F1 movie

Apple customers are not happy that they are getting an advertisement from the Apple Wallet app that promotes the original giant technology, “F1 The movie”. Through social media, iPhone owners complain that their portfolio application has sent a payment notice that offers a $ 10 in Fandango to anyone who buys two or more tickets to the movie.

The feature film, starring Brad Pitt, is exploring the world of Formula 1 and filmed in the actual grand prize races. It also shows the use of Apple technology, from devices made of iPhone parts used for auto photography, to AirPods Max, Pitt character, F1 Sonny Hayes driver.

However, the film that has been well received may be, the iPhone users do not necessarily want their compact aid tools, such as their digital portfolio, and marketing them.

“I didn’t pay more than $ 1,000 for the iPhone to announce,” a Reddit (U/Captain42D) user complains. Another post, already with dozens of responses, wants to know how to turn off the Apple Pay ads.

As it turned out, there is a new option in Beta Build from iOS 26 to disable “Apple Wallet offers” not available in the current version. Instead, users who do not build the new experimental version only have the option to disable the notifications or turn off the card’s advantages in the wallet during the exit. They cannot cancel the subscription to the offers.

The TOGGLE Control Control addition in iOS 26 indicates that Apple plans to pay more marketing messages and promotional offers through the Wallet application in the future – which will not be estimated by many iPhone users.

Apple customers generally work on the marketing ads and efforts that are pushed to their devices without their approval. In the past, they retreated to ads for Apple services in their iOS settings, for example. After more than 10 years, people still complain about the U2 album that automatically appeared in their iTunes.

Noting that the marketing disaster, a Reddit user writes a new notification from a F1 wallet portfolio, “Get the memories of the past.”

Apple promotes the F1 movie greatly with its distribution partner, Warner Bros. , Which included the launch of the HAPTIC trailer with vibration notes. The company even started in the last WWDC 2025 Keynote this month with a preview of the film, with the participation of the CEO of Apple Tim Cook and SVP from software engineering, Craig Vidryji, as a race car driver.

We contacted Apple to comment and did not hear immediately.
