Iran ‘afraid’ to pursue nuclear weapons after strikes, Netanyahu says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that he does not believe that Iran will follow a nuclear program in the wake of the strikes imposed by Washington, DC and Jerusalem last month.

“They are afraid,” Netanyahu, Maria Bartopiromo, told Maria. “They know that they felt by force – the power of America, the power of Israel, the power of Israel and America combined.

He added: “It has caused an impact, not only in the Middle East, it has had an impact all over the world. Everyone sees this.”

Iran still wants a nuclear weapon despite the “grave damage” of us, and the Israeli strikes: an expert warns

The Prime Minister’s comments contradict what some security experts have warned regarding Tehran’s continuous interest in developing a nuclear program. However, Netanyahu said: “I think the Iranians understand that what the United States and Israel did once, we can do two and three times.”

The Israeli leader admitted that Tehran could try to re -develop his program and that the United States and Israelis should deal with the issue as “cancer” that must be constantly monitored.

The Trump administration warmly denied that Iran was able to transport the enriched uranium from the nuclear site Fordo before the American strikes last month after satellite photos revealed about ten trucks on the site before the attack.

However, on Wednesday, Netanyahu seemed to contradict the Trump administration’s assurances and said, referring to Israeli intelligence, “We believe that we know where the land is buried.”

The Israeli leader also said that he does not believe that Iran reserves the ability to build a nuclear weapon, even if Tehran transmitted some highly enriched uranium from the upper nuclear site, due to the damage to other elements of the atomic weapons program.

“Increded uranium is not sufficient to make offspring bombs. Well, it is an essential element, but it is not enough,” he said.
