“It hurts for the moments I won’t be able to share with him, and for the love I hope you experience the way I did. I don’t think time will ever make this easier, but I know God knows what my heart needs. He blessed me with you when I needed you most.”

I promise to love you with everything I have for you and me. I can’t wait to meet you, hold you, and watch you grow. I love you already 🤍 June 2026.”
Niland was found dead in a Dallas suburb on November 6. Mancera was two months pregnant when he died after a high-speed chase.
Body camera and police footage showed a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to stop Niland around 10:33 p.m. on the Dallas North Tollway.
Niland, who was driving a Dodge Charger, drove away. Officers said the vehicle reached speeds in excess of 145 mph, possibly as high as 160 mph. The authorities believed the car was stolen.
The chase ended after the vehicle collided with a Ford F-350 at approximately 10:42 p.m. in Frisco, north of Dallas. Niland ran from the scene, prompting police to search the area with K-9 units, drones and officers on foot.
Police found an empty wallet inside the truck, which made them believe the driver was armed. During the search, officers learned that the suspect was Niland and that he had sent farewell letters to family and friends.
Niland’s body was found inside a portable toilet near the office park around 1 a.m. Mancera went to the area during the search and was briefly arrested but not charged. The police said they cooperated with them.
The Cowboys announced a memorial fund to help support Mancera and the couple’s unborn child.
Kneeland was selected by Dallas with the 56th overall pick in 2024.
