Jerry Seinfeld Only Quotes One Line From His NBC Sitcom

At the beginning of the “Sinfeld” episode “The Pyramid” (February 17, 1994), Jerry (Jerry Sinfield) is trying to feed a bite of apple pie, Audrey (Susan Snyder), but she rejects for no reason. Refusal to eat something that is presented is a model for the episode. Later, the husband goes to a restaurant owned by Audrey, but he refuses to take a slice of pizza that she offers him. She immediately realizes that this little social slight is a form of revenge. As in all “Seinfeld” episodes, something small and rejected, through a vast network of nerves, may turn into Pas faux faux.

Later, George (Jason Alexander) has dinner with a possible employer in a restaurant. George notes that a competitor in the restaurant kitchen, and begins to doubt that his food may be somehow polluted. When the potential employer, McKinsey (Lin Davis) George offers a bite of chocolate cream pie, he refuses. This is confusing Machinezi, because he was only telling George how important matching was a team player. One of the Mackeenzie citizens tends forward and says, with very intense, “If you are one of us, you will take a bite.” It goes without saying that George’s refusal to eat the pie is losing the job.

It seems that “if you are one of us, you will take a bite” is a line of dialogue used by Jerry Sinfield, to this day, in an informal conversation. Sinfeld, despite his hatred at first, has since introduced a lot of informal colloquial in the pop lexicon, of course. “Close-Worty”, “Helo, Newman”, “Fance Boy”, “Sponge-Worty” and “Soup Nazi”, etc., but in Reddit Ama from 2013, Jerry Sinfield admitted that the “Take a Bite” line stayed with him. Repeat this whenever he shares a meal with his children.

Sinfield admitted that it was a strange line to get out of a huge chain to change the oil that changes 180 episodes over nine seasons. However, “Take a bite” is the one stuck. He loves to use it when his children are. He also wrote:

“Oh, humanity!” Of course, the reputable phrase was shouted by journalist Herbert Morrison, where he watched Hindenburg exploding on that fateful day in 1937. But the phrase was repeated by Newman (Wayne Knight, fond of his work in the courtroom) in the “Sinfeld” episode “urine” (February 20). In that episode, Newman was driving his mail delivery truck when he reached the mid -road sewing machine (and we don’t need to reach how it got there). The device began to withdraw under the car, and create a shower of sparks. Then he drove a pool of thinner paint, spared by Kramer (“The Michael Richards Show” Michael Richards). The underside also broke out to his truck, shouted, “Oh, humanity!” Yes, Sinfield took this.

It is strange that Sinfield did not take any of his dialogue in the real world.
