Judge blocks Trump order that removes union rights from federal workers

On Friday, a federal judge prevented an executive order from President Donald Trump that would abolish the collective negotiation rights of most federal workers.

The American boycott judge, Paul Friedman, prevented the Trump administration from implementing the order after a lawsuit from the National Treasury Union, which represents about 160,000 federal employees.

The Federation claims that the matter violates the rights of federal workers, which is unconstitutional, adding that it will lose two thirds of its membership and a half of its dues if they are allowed to pass.

The matter gave more than ten agencies to be a condition of bargaining with unions, including the departments of justice, state, defense, treasury, old warriors affairs, health services and humanitarian services.

It affects about 75 % of nearly a million federal workers representatives from unions and expands an existing base that exempts national security agencies such as the FBI and the CIA from collective negotiation requirements.

The US Treasury also filed a lawsuit against NTEU after the order to nullify the collective negotiation agreement, which includes the tax authority employees.

The federal judge partially prohibits Trump’s efforts to refuse funding for public schools in support of my father.

It is part of the administration’s efforts to reduce the size of the federal government, by facilitating the discipline of firefighters and changing working conditions.

The temporary gossip will remain awaiting the results of the NTEU suit.

Friedman said he would issue an opinion explaining his ruling in the next few days.

Lawyers also gave both sides a week to suggest how to proceed with the case.
