“Kate’s performance was so indulgent, so uninterested, it’s hard to believe she was trying at all,” he continued, calling her a “terrible actress” and describing the film as a “travesty” and a “disgrace” that left his late father “rolling in his grave.”

The tension surrounding the film goes beyond criticism of the performances. Last month, Mike Jr claimed his presence was “deliberately omitted from the film” and said he was paid a “pathetic $30,000” to be a “consultant” on the project. He was listed as a consultant alongside Angelina, who was portrayed on screen by singer-songwriter King Princess, and confirmed she was paid the same amount of money.

In text messages between Angelina and producer John Fox from September to December 2024, Fox confirmed the $30,000 figure. Fox also admitted her frustration about the lack of information, telling her: “I completely understand, and I’m sorry, I know this isn’t an ideal situation.”

Angelina’s contract reportedly stipulated that there was no obligation to consult and that she allowed a fictionalized account of herself and the story. She also said: “I didn’t have any contact with King Princess, who played me. I didn’t have any contact with Kate Hudson or Hugh Jackman, anyone from the crew.”
