Kia recalls over 100,000 K5 sedans, 201,000 Telluride vehicles over loose parts

Kia American CO and CEO Stephen Stephen Center explains how the automotive manufacturer achieved electric car sales in 2022 and discusses competition in EV space for “Claman Calculation”.
Kia America has released call notifications within a week for more than 300,000 cars on loose parts near the doors and windows that could fall and pose a possible threat to other drivers.
Recovery operations affect Telluride 201,149 from 2023 to 2025 on defective door belt molds and 100,063 K5 from 2023 to 2025 due to the issues of window separation, according to separate notifications July 28 from the NHTSA traffic safety management.
NHTSA said in both notifications that separate pieces could create “a risk on the road for other vehicles, which increases the risk of collapse.”
Telluride models that are recovered may even eventually face dilution and differentiation to pour the door belt – the tight tight strip located along the upper edge of the car door where the glass window meets the metal frame of the door, according to NHTSA.

NHTSA said in the second notice that the K5 models called may face the same problem with C-Pillar-decorative panels located near the left and Yemeni back windows.
Because of the problem of suppliers’s quality, the C-Plish and Fack Fack Plate “may gradually get rid and become loose from the base of molding,” said Kia Safety Office in North America in additional notifications published on July 29.
Kia added: “If the car continues in this case, the face plate may fall in the end,” Kia added. “The face plate that separates from the car during the movement may create a danger to the roads for other road users, which increases the risk of infection.”

The owners can bring their cars to the Kia agent to perform a free examination and replace the C-Pillar plots in addition to the belt trim groups, NHTSA said in the notifications.
NHTSA said: “Merchants will replace the affected C-Pillar appetizers (IES) that have not been previously replaced under the guarantee improvement,” NHTSA said. “KIA will return its owners from the reform expenditures that it already incurred according to the general payment plan of KIA on May 1, 2024.”

NHTSA said it is expected that notification messages will be sent to vehicle owners in K5 and Telluride models on September 26. For more information, the owners can contact the KIA customer service on the number 800-333-4542 and the SC346 reference number to remind the K5 and SC347 to remember Telluride, according to the agency.
Park owners can verify whether their car is affected by the visit of the NHTSA Recall website, where they can search by Make, Model, the license board number or car identification number.
NHTSA and Kia did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox Business.
