Kirk Tanner leaves Wendy’s to become Hershey’s new CEO

Tanner-who held the position of president and CEO of Windse for 14 months-will leave the Burger series on July 18. Its new role in the chocolate industry will start after a month on August 18, according to advertisements separate from the two companies.

Tanner Michel Back, who served as CEO of Hershey for seven years, is scheduled to retire. Back will work with him in a major consultant role to ensure the success of the transition, according to Hershey.

“This departure comes at a time that is likely to be in Windy,” Michael Gunter, a consumer analyst, told Reuters.

Tanner began working as a president and executive of Windy in February 2024. Before that, he worked at Pepsico, Inc. , For more than 30 years, including the CEO of Pepsico Beverages America North America, according to Wendy.
