Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s former LA home lists for $13.4 million

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s former home is on the market.

The 6,389-square-foot Pacific Palisades home is for sale for $13.4 million in partnership with listing agent Josh Flagg of Compass.

Originally built in 1951, the house features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, an attached two-car garage and a temperature-controlled wine room.

Additionally, the property includes a pool, multiple fire pits, built-in barbecue facilities, outdoor lounge and dining areas, and green spaces.

“This property is particularly special because it was once home to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The current owners have completely reimagined it as an authentic East Coast traditional, and features elegant details throughout — including a temperature-controlled wine tasting room and putting green in the backyard,” Flagg told Fox Business.

“The Pacific Palisades market is also seeing renewed momentum. With many lots sold in the wake of the fires, there are few homes ready to move into, and this street remains one of the rare untouched areas,” he continued.

The longtime Hollywood couple first met in 1966 while filming the Disney movie The One, Only, and Original Family Band. They later reconnected and started dating when they worked together in “Swing Shift” in 1983 and were together for over 40 years.

“If you’re with Goldie Hawn, you have a good chance,” Russell told Esquire in March 2024. “If you’re lucky enough to be with Goldie Hawn, that’s how long she can put up with you.”

Despite being together for over four decades, the couple chose not to get married. During his appearance on ““Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard” in March 2024, Hawn explained why this choice worked for them.

“Once you start losing yourself, and getting involved in someone else’s everything, there comes a ‘loss of respect,'” she told Shepherd, which can lead to a mental shift that makes people feel “restricted.”

“I’ve always said if I was in a cage, and I was a bird, and I left the door open, I’d probably never get out,” Hawn explained. “If I close the cage door, my feathers will disappear, and I won’t look like a bird anymore. I won’t be able to survive.”

The two have starred in three other films together, including “Overboard,” “The Christmas Chronicles” and “The Christmas Chronicles 2,” in which they play Santa and Mrs. Claus.

After meeting, the two merged their families. Hawn is mother to Oliver and Kate Hudson, while Russell is father to son Boston. They later welcomed their son Wyatt together in 1986.

Kate spoke with Howard Stern on a 2024 episode of SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” She praised her mother and Russell for their lasting relationship and acknowledged how much they had supported her throughout her life.

“They’ve been together for over 40 years. They’re the center of our family,” Kate said. “I look at all the grandchildren and my mom and dad are the best. They’ve done it well.”

During an episode of their podcast “Sibling Revelry” in November 2024, Kate and Oliver discussed their close relationship with Russell, who stepped in to raise them after they were “rescued” by their musician father, Bill Hudson.

“He basically raised me,” Oliver said of Russell. “I’m the man I am today because of him.” “There was a moment when he asked us, Kate and I, if we wanted to be adopted, and we said no. Not that we were, you know, fully aware of what that meant. … We just said, ‘Well, we don’t need him.’ Love is there.”

“At the same time, when you don’t have your biology [father] Around, it’s hard to replace that, no matter what. The love was there with Kurt, there was no doubt about it. He is my father. I call him “Dad.” But there wasn’t always something missing, it was always like, “Cool, but there’s this other side.”
