Lando Norris-Oscar Piastri Singapore GP collision has changed ground rules in F1 title battle, says Martin Brundle | F1 News

Martin Brundle believes that “the basic rules have changed” between Lando Norris and Oscar Bayastiri after McLaren’s teammates filled with the opening roll for the Great Singapore race.

As Norris started in fifth and PiaSSTRI, the third place in the Marina Bay Street, the former benefited from a strong haven for the retreat of Mercedes Kimi Antonelli and launched an attempt to overcome his teammate.

Norris got up inside Pasri in the third round, but then called Red Bull from Max Verstapen forward, with his reaction to this initial collision that he sent to the right to his teammate, while hitting the heavy wheel to the wheels almost to send the Australian to the barrier.

PiaSSTRI appeared initially for his suggestion on the radio that McLaren should reflect its locations and norris, then smoke when he was told that the team will not “take any action during the race.”

Sky SPORTS F1 Brundel’s commentator during the race was: “I think the basic rules between McLares have just changed for the rest of the season.

“I thought he was pierced, opportunistic, aggressive, but this is a engine race. The basic rules have been reset.

“I cannot see how McLaren will exchange that round or how they can justify (switch).

“But Oscar will say,” Well, that’s all. This is how we go to the race. “

Piastri is more measured after sweat

Despite the best Norris attempts to challenge the second position, the difficulty of the transgression means that the McLaren duo has ended in the same situations that ended the first roll.

This result was that Norris reduced the PiaSSTRI championship to 22 points, while Verstapen closed to 63 points from Australian with six rounds of the season remained.

In response to a question about whether he believed that he and Nawras are still competing “cleanly,” Pacide replied: “Yes, I think we are doing. I don’t think there is any intention to call, but there was, and I need to look at restart and know exactly what happened.”
