Leeds United are struggling in the Premier League and need to improve the squad during the January transfer window.
They need to add more quality in midfield, and have been linked with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain recently.
Leeds linked to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The 32-year-old is currently without a club after terminating his contract with Besiktas in August. He is looking forward to getting back into action, and it will be interesting to see if any clubs look to give him a chance in January.
In an interview with The Athletic, the player now revealed that he wants to play regular football and has the drive and desire to succeed at a high level.
Oxlade-Chamberlain said: “I want to play. I’m not ready to retire by any means. I don’t feel old. I still feel hungry to play and do well. I just want to have the opportunity to show what I can still do.”
“I feel I can add value on the pitch but also show the right way to coach, the right way to work on and off the pitch. I’m now in the category where I’ve been lucky enough to play for top clubs, win titles and work with top managers. I know a lot more now than I did when I started my career.”
Can Leeds sign Oxlade-Chamberlain?

It remains to be seen whether Leeds will seize the opportunity to sign the player. Signing him on a free would be a low-risk acquisition with upside potential.
He is a reliable player in the Premier League and has shown that with Arsenal and Liverpool in the past. He is capable of operating in multiple roles and could prove to be the ideal utility man for Leeds United.
Moreover, his winning experience and leadership qualities could be invaluable to Leeds United as well.
The 32-year-old has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world and won major trophies during his career. A move to Leeds could be perfect for him too.
It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Leeds need to plug the weaknesses in their squad if they want to remain in League One this season. The former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder could be a very useful acquisition.
