Liverpool forward Diogo Jota killed in car crash

Liverpool striker Dyou Jota was killed in a car accident in Spain.

Portugal was exposed to an accident in Zamora Province in the northwest of the country overnight.

Zamora News adds that emergency services were called at 1240 am local time after being alerted to a traffic accident on the highway towards Benavente.

The firefighting service extinguished the fire, but the medical staff was unable to save two of the car’s passengers.

A statement issued by the Civil Guard, granted to the BBC, read: “The information we have so far is that the car, which was Lamborghini, was in a traffic accident and left the road due to the explosion of the tires while it was bypassed.

“It was in the early hours, 1230, in the municipality of Sirnadilla in Zamura Province.

“The fire was caught in the car and two passengers were killed.”

Gota got married recently
