Lost Access to YouTube TV? Here’s How to Stream ABC for Free

Last week, a major change between YouTube TV and Disney led to a blackout for viewers who rely on the app to watch Disney-owned channels.

Unable to reach an agreement, Disney has been locked out of YouTube TV. That means subscribers need to find other ways to watch last weekend’s college football games without ESPN.

But unfortunately, the feud is still ongoing, putting this week’s ABC shows in jeopardy.

Can I watch ABC for free anywhere?

Fortunately, there are a few options for watching ABC for free. Firstly, it’s a truly free-to-air channel and can be accessed using ‘bunny ear’ broadcast antennas, if you don’t mind going a little old school.

If you’d rather not invest in an antenna, you can try free trials for fuboTV and DIRECTV, which also give you access to ESPN. What apps does ABC Live offer?

If you prefer to keep things on apps, you can get the Hulu + Live TV plan for $89.99, which includes live TV, Disney+, and ESPN Select. Or raise that monthly price by an additional $10 and get Hulu Premium and Disney+ Premium.

You can also try Sling TV, a cable streaming app similar to fuboTV. It comes with different packages that you can choose depending on the types of channels you want to access. For example, the $45.99 per month Sling Orange plan focuses on sports and family channels, while the $45.99 Sling Blue plan focuses on news and entertainment. Or buy both bundles together for $65.99 and get half off your first month. However, you need Sling Blue to access ABC.

Where can I watch ABC now?

At the end of the day, almost every cable provider will offer ABC, so maybe it’s time to switch from streaming back to cable — especially if you’d rather not have these kinds of conflicts affect your daily viewing habits.
