Donald Trump said that 600,000 Chinese students will be allowed to enter the United States to study in colleges amid continuous trade talks with China.

Speaking at the White House on Monday, the president’s announcement indicates a possible radio in relations between the United States of China after the escalation of definitions and restrictions imposed on Chinese students.

“I hear a lot of stories that we will not allow for its students,” Trump told reporters.

“We will allow their students to enter. It is very important, 600,000 students. It is very important. But we will agree with China,” he added.

Trump’s visa visa comes against the backdrop of commercial talks with the Chinese government.

Earlier this year, the administration imposed a 145 % tariff on all Chinese commodities, which prompted Beijing to take revenge through a 125 % tariff on American exports.

Negotists in Geneva in May agreed to stop additional fees, but Trump continued to warn more sanctions.

Last week, a 200 % tariff was offered to the Chinese magnet, noting what he described as Beijing’s “monopoly” of the global market.

“I don’t think we will face a problem with it,” Trump told reporters.

“China is intelligent, I went and took somewhat a monopoly on the world magnet. Maybe it will take a year to get it,” he said.

Currently, about 270,000 Chinese students are registered in American universities.

In May, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio announced plans to “cancel” strong “visas for Chinese citizens, especially those associated with the Communist Party or sensitive research fields.

Trump has since changed a tone, and reported in June that he was “always supportive” to welcome students from China.
