Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gündogan lauds ‘irreplaceable’ Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin de Bruyne is “underestimated” in Manchester City, according to his partner in the Ilkay Gündogan midfield.

Belgium announced that he would leave the city at the end of the season and admitted a surprise that he had not presented a new deal in the federation.

De Bruyne did not make any decision about his next step, but wherever he went, his departure will leave a huge hole on the field and in the dressing room.

“It is indispensable,” Gundogan told ESPN. “We know that no one will just come and be a substitute for it. Of course it will be covered in one way or another. The club always does so.

“What Kev did for the club is incredible. For me personally, in the history of Man City, there is no better player than Kevin De Bruyne. It was a pleasure to share it with him for a long time.

The required improvement after facing the last forest

City lost in Forest last month and Gundogan believes that the rise of Nuno Espereto Santo reflects the difficult Premier League.
