Manchester United loanee opens up about time at Old Trafford and difficult upbringing

Anthony Manchester United has opened his time in Old Trafford and says that playing football against drug dealers as a child means that he does not feel pressure.

The Brazilian signed United from the Dutch side Ajax in 2022, compared to a fee that could eventually rise to 86.3 million pounds.

However, the skilled wing failed to raise the huge price level, ran only 12 goals in its appearance 96 in front of the Red Devils as he struggled to make its mark in England.

He joined Real Betis in January, where he will spend the rest of the season on loan.

But its shape in Spain showed a promise. He scored four goals and made four assists in its first 11 games, and it is believed that Laliga can look forward to its signature on a permanent basis.

Although a difficult time in the Premier League, Anthony told Dazn that he was grateful for the experience.

“If they pay this type of money for you, it is because you have talent and quality,” said 25 years old.

“Wherever you go, I will always talk about United. I am very grateful to the club and Eric Tin Hag for what we have tried together, for titles, and for everything I learned. I had difficult times there, but also at very good times.

“I think it’s a preparation for me to be here today, I enjoy myself. My mind is here, and I am very happy.”

Speaking of his move to Spain, Anthony admitted that he came at an important time in his life.

He said: “I found myself, I needed to find myself and be happy. I needed to be happy too. Every day it passes, I see it was the best decision I could take.

“I enjoy the city, the club, and everything. It reminds me of a lot of Brazil because of the sun, food, and people very happy. All this is important for a person like me who is used to.”

The Brazilian also recounted moments of his childhood that originated in Vavilla called “Inferninho”, which is translated as “little hell”.

He cites his experiences there as a major reason that makes him not feel the pressure that comes with a football player at the highest level.

He said: “When I asked about the pressure, I say,” What is the pressure? “

“I faced pressure in the fiblla when I had no play shoes, I played against drug dealers and everything. It was a real pressure.

“When I left in the morning to go to school, I often did not eat.

“So when I face difficult moments, I always think about the challenges that I have overcome in the past.”

Real Betis Host Sevilla on EL Gran Derbi, which translates into the great derby. Betis is currently sixth in La Liga, while Seville is the tenth.
