“Well, today is October 8th, and obviously I’m here doing some commercials for the Grand Ole Opry,” Parton said in a video update shared on her X account.

Addressing the rumours, Parton jokingly asked: “Do I look sick to you?” Before adding that she was “working hard.”

While Parton told fans that she was fine, she admitted that she had some issues that started after her husband’s death, while she neglected her health.

Now, following her doctor’s advice, she is focusing on her health through treatment at Vanderbilt and has canceled some commitments to stay close to home.

Parton then slammed the viral deepfake circulating online of her on her “deathbed” with Reba McEntire by her side, joking that they looked ready for burial.

At the end of the segment, the EGOT winner reiterated that she was sticking around. “I’m not ready to die yet,” she declared. “I don’t think God has had enough of me, and I haven’t finished the work.”
