Marvel Fans Correctly Predicted Taskmaster’s Thunderbolts Death

This post contains the main spoilers of Marvel’s “Thunderbolts”.

“Thunderbolts*” is now in theaters, which puts the stage 5 of Marvel Cinematic Universe in the back vision mirror. It was not the case without its victims, although MCU has a difficult time to adhere to death (see only the number of times Tom Heidston Loki died only to return again)

As many guessed, Olga Kurylenko Taskmaster dies very early in the contribution of director Jake Schreier in MCU. This was greatly predicted when the trailers of “Thunderbolts*” appeared any scenes with Taskmaster at all. What distinguishes this in particular is that death is very surprising, cold, fast and on a kind of occurrence. The movie continues without Antonia Dreikov from Kurylenko.

Some may have thought that Taskmaster will die and provide some emotional resonance, or that death would have at least some meaning. “Thunderbolts*” may have a lot in her minds, but the death of this character is mainly meaningless. She gets just moments of screen time and shoots at the head of Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) during the first fighting scene in the warehouse where Valentina De Fontaine (Julia Louis Drifus) was trying to clean its loose ends by killing its agents in killing each other.

Taskmaster is the only one to die, with Ghost, Yeena Beova (Florence PGH), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), and Pop (Louis Pullman) only, although Yeena has a short conversation later on her in the movie. However, Ghost does not seem to feel less worse about Killin Gher, and that was. It is frankly beautiful. Whether this is the correct step to be done is a personal opinion issue, but it is definitely uncommon for MCU.

Although it was not a position on apples on apples, it was “Thunderbolts*”, for all intentions and purposes, Marvel’s answer mainly on “Suicide Squad”, due to the first appearance of the team in the comedy in 1997. It is a team of bad guys that were repaired the bad guys/anti -opponents, in relation to the largest part. This is not “avengers”. Bad people – or at least people want to work in gray – meet to do something good. This is not the standard for them. These people are killers, so it was imperative that some murder had to happen.

In order to upgrade this movie to the level of its name, someone had to die. Taskmaster only drew a short straw in this regard. Even everyone who was killed by Sentry/The Void in the third chapter was reset by the members of the neighborhood team, such as a quick version of the New York from Thanos. Taskmaster was not very lucky. As for why should she be for her? This is something that film makers had to weigh, but for what it deserved, Taskmaster was not a completely loved one when it first appeared in “Black Widow”.

This puts an endless end for the time of Kurylenko in MCU. A few fans did not dig the character in “Black Widow”, and there was no salvation (HECK, barely at any time on the screen) in this movie. The worst of this is that Kurylenko did not even have much to do in the “black widow” as well.

“I hope to say it was all I have all the time,” the actress said in an interview with /Film in 2021, regarding her role in “Black Widow” in Taskmaster. “This is unfortunately not the truth, because Taskmaster has very complex fighting scenes and some amazing skills that I could not do, and I had to be called” a trick. “But yes, believe me – did I like to do that? I would have said yes.”

Meanwhile, anyone else from this movie will return in “Avengers: Doomsday” for the next year, which is very logical given the end. Unfortunately, Taskmaster was detonated into Smithens and will not participate in anything. One pour.
