Why ABC Canceled Gina Rodriguez’s Not Dead Yet

Certainly TV programs, especially comedy, centered around Latin characters have been in a rise in recent years – “this is a fool” and “Primo” is only two of the many who fell in love with them immediately – but for some reason, most of them seem to have a brief life. Frankly, the miracle in which the comedy drama led by Gina Rodriguez managed on CW, “Jin The Virgin”, to stay on the air for five years between 2014 and 2019. However, the most modern comic play for the actress was not “not yet”, on ABC lucky.

Despite the mixed reviews of critics, the show classifications were great during a season for the first time, making it the most viewed comedy on the channel in 2023. Rodriguez, Neil Seriro, a newly cut journalist, must be the viewer with viewers as she was trying to build a new life on one of the old first. After a 10 -year break, she returned to her old job in Socal Independent, where it was the only work you could get was to write obituary (not exactly to her). This became more difficult when I suddenly started seeing the ghosts of people who were supposed to write about them. Moreover, she also had to share an apartment with a room colleague in control, Edward (Rick Galasman), who made her miserable life worse.

This is an exciting preparation for juice for comic series, which pushed a student season of 13 episodes to success. But the follow -up season (which ended in 10 episodes) was not able to simply keep the viewers ’attention and eventually very difficult.

It was not found after that due to the low classifications

Whether the slight change in the narration is what stopped viewers or anything else, season 2 could not produce the same predecessors. Thus, in May 2024, ABC was abolished in a heterogeneous manner “who has not yet died” two seasons. Apparently, this decision was out of exit. I watched the editor -in -chief of the deadline of the TV department this next when she wrote, “One Camera” is not yet dead “on the bubble. Its classifications were soft, making some of the ritual possibilities, although the series of Gina Rodriguez starring her that she has its supporters internally and can find a season in a future season based on ABC scheduling.”

The comic series created by Casey Johnson (based on Alexandra Potter’s 2020 novel, “Acknowledged Forty Something ** K UP”) was not like this and had to close the curtain in Neal’s possible future adventures. If this is any consolation, the Apple TV+”Acapulco” show, which was appointed in Malibu and full of Latin feelings, is about to broadcast its fourth and last season this month. But if you ask me and want some unveiled comic films and laughter that focuses on the Latinians in America, you should give an opportunity “This is a fool” and “Primo”.
