Max Verstappen reacts as Kelly Piquet posts heartwarming family pictures to cap off “year of big changes”

Max Verstappen’s girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, took to Instagram and shared a collection of 20 photos as she bid farewell to 2025. The Red Bull star took to the comments section and reacted to the Brazilian model’s intimate family photos.

Max Verstappen has had an eventful 2025 on track and off track. The Dutchman had a difficult start to the 2025 season, but he came strong in the end, making up for the 104-point difference behind the championship leader and ending up in second place, only two points behind champion Lando Norris.

On a personal level, the Dutchman and his girlfriend Kelly Pique welcomed their first daughter into the world in April 2025, whom they named Lily. The couple adopted a puppy named Nino and the Brazilian made her second appearance as a Vogue cover model.

Kelly Pique uploaded an Instagram post on the last day of 2025 and shared family photos, as she reflected on a year of big changes. The second slide was Max Verstappen hugging his girlfriend during Parc Ferme. The sixth slice was of the Red Bull driver stroking Nino and a donut, and the seventh was of Kelly with her father, Nelson Piquet.

There was a photo of Verstappen with Lilly. One of the last photos was from the Sardinia trip taken by Max Verstappen, Kelly Piquet and their family during the Formula 1 summer break. The title of the post read,

“2025 is a year of big changes. Welcoming my second child, a new home, the arrival of Nino, not one but two very special receptions, my second Vogue cover, unforgettable moments with family and friends, exciting career opportunities… plus challenges, exhaustion, and growth. Closing out the year grateful, a little tired, and ready for 2026.”

Max Verstappen took to the comments section of the post and responded, saying:

“❤️❤️❤️❤️”

The Dutchman’s sister, Victoria Verstappen, also commented, writing:

“Can’t wait for next year! ❤️”

Max Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet has shared a sweet photo from Lily’s first birthday

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet announced the Brazilian model’s pregnancy after the end of the 2024 season. A few days before the 2025 Miami GP, Lily Verstappen gave birth. Verstappen’s friend shared a full family photo of Penelope and Lily in front of the Christmas tree with the caption:

“Lily’s first Christmas and first as a family of four, the family she always dreamed of. This time of year can be loud for some and very quiet for others. Whether you are celebrating, surviving, missing someone, or simply taking a breath… I am sending warmth and kindness your way. Whatever this season is looking for you, it is valid and you are not alone.”

The Dutchman has hinted at early retirement several times in the past and exited earlier this year stating that he missed spending time with his family.
