The new deadline of president Donald Trump for Russia to end the conflict with Ukraine is an “additional step towards war”, according to former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Medvedev, now the Vice -President of the Security Council in Russia, has warned that Trump’s announcement on Monday should end Russia the conflict with Ukraine within 10 to 12 days will not end well for the United States
“Trump plays a warning game with Russia: 50 days or 10 … he must remember two things: 1. Russia is not Israel or even Iran.” Do not go down on the path of the sleeper atmosphere! “

While Trump announced on July 14 that it will sign a “severe tariff” against Russia if Moscow fails to agree on a peace agreement within 50 days, Trump said on Monday that waiting in this time period was useless amid suspended negotiations.
“I will make a new deadline, from 10 to 10 or 12 days of the day,” Trump told reporters from Scotland. “There is no reason to wait. It was 50 days. I wanted to be generous, but we don’t see any progress made.”
Trump’s comments came when his frustration with Putin has grown in recent weeks amid any progress towards peace between Russia and Ukraine, and only one day after Russia has launched more than 300 drones, four Cruise missiles and three ballistic missiles in Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Trump has invited Putin to provide lip service during their discussions while not taking proactive steps to end the war. As a result, Trump said he was “disappointed” in the Russian leader and that he was “no longer interested in talking” with Putin.
“He talks – we have such nice conversations, such a respected and wonderful conversation. Then people die the next night,” Trump said on Monday.
After Trump’s announcement of reducing the deadline for the peace agreement, Ukrainian President Foludmir Zelensky Trump thanked his “clear position and expressed his design” to resolve the conflict.
“I thank President Trump for his focus on saving lives and stopping this terrible war,” Zellinski said in a post on Monday. “Ukraine is still committed to peace and will work tirelessly with the United States to make our country safer, stronger and more prosperous.”

Although Trump has shown historically about a strong relationship with Putin, he has publicly expressed increased frustration with Putin in recent weeks as the war between Russia and Ukraine continues.
“We got a lot of bulls —- Putin threw us, if you want to know the truth. It is very nice for us all the time, but it turns out that it does not make sense,” Trump said during the cabinet meeting on July 8.
