Meta rolls out AI-powered translations to creators globally, starting with English and Spanish

The company announced on Tuesday that Meta is offering an Acting audio translation feature for all users on Facebook and Instagram worldwide.

The new feature, available in any market where Meta AI is available, allows creators to translate the content into other languages so that it can be displayed by a wider audience.

This feature was announced for the first time at the Meta’s Connect Developer Conference last year, as the company said it will experiment with the automatic translations of creators’ voices in rollers via Facebook and Instagram.

Meta notes that artificial intelligence translations will use the voice and tone of the creator’s voice to make the authentic diploma voice when translating the content into a new language.

In addition, creators can use an optional lip feature to align the translation with their lip movements, making it look more natural.

At launch, the feature supports translations from English to Spanish and vice versa, with more languages over time. AI’s translations are available for a Facebook creator with 1000 followers or all public Instagram accounts in the world, where Meta AI is presented.

To reach the option, creators can click on “translating your voice using Meta AI” before publishing a ball. Creators can then switch the button to play translations and choose if they want to include the lips synchronization as well. When clicking “Share Now” to spread their ball, the translation will be available automatically.

Creators can display translations and lip sync before publicly publish them and can switch any option at any time. (The refusal of the translation will not affect an original ball, the company notes. Those who do not want to see translated rollers in specific languages can disable this in the settings menu.

Creators also get access to a new scale in their ideas plate, where they can see their views of the language. This can help them a better understanding of how to reach new fans through translations – which will be more useful as additional languages are supported over time.

Meta recommends that creators who want to use the feature face forward, speak clearly, and avoid covering their mouth when registering. The minimum background noise or music also helps. The feature supports only up to speakers, and they should not talk about each other until the translation works.

In addition, Facebook creators will be able to download up to 20 dubbed sound paths to a ball to expand their fans beyond those in English or Spanish -speaking markets. This is presented in the “Clear Liths and Closed Translations” section in the Meta Business Suite collection and supports the addition of translations before and after publication, unlike the advantage of artificial intelligence.

Meta says more languages will be supported in the future, but it has not separated from the languages that will be next to or when.

“We believe that there are a lot of amazing creators who have potential fans who do not necessarily speak the same language,” explained by Instagram president Adam Museri in a post on Instagram. “If we can help you reach those masses that speak other languages, and reach cultural and linguistic barriers, we can help you develop your follow -up and get more value from Instagram and the platform.”

The launch of the artificial intelligence feature comes as multiple reports indicate that META restructuring the AI group again to focus on four main areas: research, experts, products and infrastructure.
