Microsoft reportedly ramps up AI efforts to compete with OpenAI

Microsoft has accelerated its batch to compete with Openai, has long been collaborating, by developing its strong artificial intelligence models and exploring alternatives to energy products such as Microsoft’s Copilot Bot.

Microsoft has developed AI’s “thinking” models similar to models such as Openai’s O1 and O3-MINI, information reports. Openai is said to have rejected Microsoft requests for technical details about how O1 works – tensions that arouse tensions between companies.

Microsoft has also developed a family of models called Mai, which is competitive with Openai’s Own, and Bloomberg reports, and is said to be considering presenting it through the application programming interface later this year. In parallel with these efforts, Microsoft is said to test alternative Amnesty International models from Xai, Meta and Deepseek as a possible alternative to Openai technology in Copilot.

Microsoft, who has invested about $ 14 billion in Openai so far, has looked out of her stakes in several ways, including employing DeepMind and turning off Mustafa Suleiman to lead the AI’s technology efforts.
