Minnesota lawmaker convicted of burglary could face up to 20 years behind bars

The state legislator was arrested in April 2024 on suspicion of storming the home of her husband’s wife. Mitchell said she went to the home of the stepmother, Carroll Mitchell, to restore the things of her late father. When she was arrested, the officers found a hand -covered manual lamp with a black sock on it. In addition, the officers said they searched a black backpack and found laptops, a laptop, driving license, Senate identity and TUPPERWARE.

While no date for the referee has been set, Mitchell faces at least six months in prison and a maximum of 20 years, according to Axios, citing her lawyer.
